Thorntons Recycling Mondello Series: The Final Showdown 15/08/2025

After six nights of lung-busting effort, high-speed tactics, and more plot twists than a summer blockbuster, the Thorntons Recycling Mondello Series comes down to its final race this Tuesday, August 19th at 7:30pm.

With the overall positions still on a knife edge, the track will be the stage for one last all-out battle - and bragging rights for the season.

From the first round in May to last week’s fierce sprint finish, the series has delivered it all: blazing solo breakaways, down-to-the-wire bunch gallops, and even the odd weather-induced “Monrodeo.”

Our sponsored teams Team Bikeworx and Mulhussey Wheelers have been right in the thick of it - from prime wins to aggressive riding that’s shaped how the races played out. Next week, they’ll be back to give it everything one last time.

The final night won’t just be about the racing. It’s also a celebration of a hugely successful 2025 series, with a BBQ and trophy presentation. Paul Thornton, owner of Thorntons Recycling, will be on hand to crown the champions.

Expect fireworks. Expect drama. Expect nothing to be settled until the final corner.
