Know your bins!


General Waste (SRF)


1. Leave your general waste bin out for collection on your designated day.


2. Your general waste bin is collected by Thorntons Recycling for delivery to our processing facility.


3. Suitable contents from your general waste bin are processed through our Solid Recovered Fuel (SRF) facility.


4. The final SRF product is used in cement kilns as a fuel, reducing waste to landfill.




Food Waste (Composting)

1. Leave your food waste bin out for collection on your designated service day

2. Your food waste is collected and delivered to our compost facility

3. Material is processed into compost at our state of the art facility in Kilmainhamwood, Co. Meath

4. Compost is produced and then supplied to farmers and landscapers.



Dry Mix Recycling (Recycling Bin)

1. Leave your recycling bin out for collection on the designated day.

2. Your recycling bin contents are collected by Thorntons Recycling and delivered to our processing facility.

3. Recycling bin contents are processed at our state of the art facility in Parkwest, Dublin.

4. The recycling waste is then turned into materials which can be used again.
