The Ashbourne Recycling Day is back on the 23rd of April from 8 am until 4 pm.
These recycling days provide an avenue for the community to conveniently dispose of bulky household waste in a legally compliant way at a fraction of the cost of doing so commercially. To make it affordable for all, and to help pay for the considerable running costs of these events, there is a modest charge for the disposal of Household Waste. Over the last 17 years (up to 3 events annually across Meath East) we have recycled thousands of tonnes of waste. This event will again be held in the Ashbourne Retail Park.
We also provide an on-site confidential document shredding facility. All documents/files are shredded to EN15713 standard. Materials accepted include paper files and paper documents. We ask that all customers remove the documents from ring folders and also remove the plastic sheets/wallets. Each customer is welcome to observe the shredding procedure – commercial customers are welcome.
We are again giving out free compost to people using Recycling Day. The compost is bagged and is limited to 2 bags per person until the 20 tonnes are gone.
