We had some exciting visitors to our Killeen Road Facility today.
Our commercial sales account manager Peter Hanifin brought Paul Costello director of Green Generation and Adrian Doyle director of Polymer Alloy Technology t/a PALTECH on a site tour of the facility. They are looking for non-recyclable plastics they can use in the process of making 100% recycled flower pots.
The new heavyweight pots, which are now on sale in Tesco stores nationwide, have “impressive” durability, long lifespan, weigh 7 kg each and can be further recycled at their end of life through Paltech’s unique process.
This alternative process now can give Thorntons Recycling the opportunity to divert non-recyclable plastics elsewhere while still continuing the important process of 100% recycling.
