HOPEFEST aims to give hope to those struggling, giving them practical help to make things a little easier. Haircuts, chiropody, and yoga were among some of the services on offer at the outdoor festival. The event included live music, food and games, as well as a children's zone.

John Sheehy of Dublin Lions Club believes the summer party will promote positivity in an, unfortunately, growing community of homeless people in Dublin. "I think it's unique in that it's specifically for those experiencing homelessness and it brings a bit of positivity."

"All of us that are there, we're all part of a community, and it's a community looking after those who aren't quite as lucky", he told Newstalk FM. 

"It's a show of having care and respect for those within our community, and I think that's a really important message."
