Thorntons Recycling has a solution to recycling paper. We offer a secure, and confidential shredding service to our commercial clients and our household customers. This shredded paper is then transported to paper mills and is recycled into everyday products.
As the paper is taken out of our lockable executive cabinets, it is separated on the conveyer belt. The paper is shredded to high-security level 6, recognised by the ISO standards. It then travels along in the machinery to our second shredder, where it is double shred. With our state-of-the-art machinery, we have the availability to shred up to 3 times, reaching the ISO standards that we aim for.
Our shredding processes boast four ISO accreditations, making us the only company in the country offering such a prestigious service. We are also the only company in the country that holds the standard, EN15713, ‘This European Standard gives recommendations for the management and control of confidential material destruction, to ensure that such material is disposed of securely and safely. The recommendations apply to a company’s main business premises and any holding sites.’
