As part of COPE Galway’s 2021 Business Leaders’ Sleep Out, we will be sponsoring our friend Thomas Walsh of Walsh Waste and Anthony Gannon and John Powell of Premier Property Group, as they sleep out on Friday the 3rd of December. Now in its 10th year, this annual event aims to raise awareness of the issue of homelessness and raise funds to support COPE Galway’s Homeless Services.
COPE Galway supports people to move on from homelessness, secure accommodation, set up their homes and sustain an independent living as well as provide skills development and befriending initiatives. The funds raised through the Business Leaders’ Sleep Out have allowed the expansion of services and introduction of new initiatives such as community-based housing, outreach support for people sleeping rough and more recently, the swift adaptations to ensure continuity of service during the challenges of the pandemic.
