Today we had a visit from a community group based in Crumlin, Dublin 12 that focus primarily on litter action, however over the past three years the group has grown to include bio-diversity, re-greening, creative interventions in disused areas, murals and much more.
Last year the group won an award via Creative Ireland to help build behavioural change around Climate Action in Ireland, and it is in conjunction with this award that they visited Thorntons Recycling.
The purpose of today’s visit was to make a small documentary on the barriers of Climate Action, faced by everyday people, specific to the area of Crumlin, but as a reflection of any inner-city neighbourhood in Ireland.
“As one of Ireland's largest and most forward-thinking recycling companies, we would love to speak to you about your recycling facilities, the barriers you face, what consumers can do better and indeed if government led campaigns on how to recycle better are required.”
