As main sponsors of Blackhall Gaels GAA we were invited to participate in the final day of the clubs Summer Club.
The summer club was attended by 200 children who all enjoyed the games and coaching during the week. The club looks forward to organising the summer club again for next year!
There was also an excellent Sustainability aspect to the Summer Camp today.
The participants each received a Thorntons Recycling bag containing a ball, a sliotar and a packet of wild seeds. In the afternoon we all planted our seeds on the wild grass area in the front of the training ground along with planting some new oak trees!
Another great element of the day was the swap shop, where players bought along and swapped old jerseys and gear.
Blackhall Gaels GAA Club was formed in 1995 from the amalgamation of the Kilcloon and Batterstown Junior clubs. The club is a dual club and promotes both hurling and football along with Camogie and Ladies Football in the parish.
