Thorntons Recycling

Ashbourne Recycling Day - this Saturday April 22nd 17/04/2023

Ashbourne Recycling Day is back! The event brings the community together to promote recycling and environmental awareness. Thorntons Recycling is proud to again participate in the event, which is being held on Saturday, April 22nd, at Ashbourne Retail Park from 8am to 4pm. The event is organised by independent councillor Joe Bonner, who has been a champion of recycling and sustainability in the area.

The event is well established now with many locals marking it on their calendars as the ideal opportunity to clear-out any bulky items from their households and gardens. Signalling Spring, we will also have a supply of compost, produced from our Brown/compost bin collections, available for free collection. *Arrive early as this is first come/first serve and often goes quickly!

Our mobile shredding unit will also be on site, offering free shredding of confidential paperwork.

The importance of recycling cannot be overstated. It is a vital part of protecting the environment and conserving natural resources. By recycling, we can reduce the amount of waste that goes to landfill and preserve valuable materials for future generations. The Ashbourne Recycling Day is a great opportunity for the community to come together and make a positive impact on the environment.

Overall, the Ashbourne Recycling Day is an important event for the community, promoting environmental awareness and encouraging people to take action to protect the planet. By participating in the event, attendees make a positive impact on the environment. We encourage everyone to come out this Saturday April 22nd and bring your bulky waste and paperwork and collect some compost!
