In preparation for the Tyre Hangar Cup 2017 a team of Thorntons Recycling employees played against the National Deaf Sports Ireland team.

This game was played in National Sport Ireland’s Blanchardstown facility.

The excitement is building for the tournament in Navan, taking place from 10am on August 6th.

The event will be a family fun day including a barbecue and activities for the children.

Men’s Football is one of the most popular sports choices in Deaf Sports Ireland.

They are one of  the top four teams in the world since late 1980s.

The Irish Team won two silver medals & three bronze medals since 1989 from European Championship & Deaflympics.
